Sea Kayaking Scotland

Scotland is a world-class sea kayaking destination and Oban is fast becoming the Sea Kayak Capital of the UK. Seil Island (accessed by the bridge over the Atlantic) and its surrounding water is the jewel in the crown. On the edge of the ocean, from the peak of the island of Scarba with the world famous whirlpool of the Corryvrekan via the tide races of the Grey Dogs and Cuan Sound to the gentle waters of Seil Sound and Balvicar Bay and the accessible tidal currents of Clachan Sound and the puppy dog. The area has sea kayaking environments to suit everybody from beginners to the most experienced kayaker. All within easy access and with instructors that know the area intimately.
